What Karka is
Karka is a movable water sign ruled by Moon. The sign of home: mother, belonging, memory and care, and a feeling of safety that has to be built before anything else.
Karka tells you the field. Your chart tells you what grows in it.
A sign is shared by a twelfth of everyone alive. What it does in one life depends on which house it rules from your ascendant, which planets sit in it, and when their periods run. The reading starts from your birth minute and nothing else.
- Which house Karka rules in your chart, and what that makes it responsible for
- Every planet in your chart by sign, house and condition
- Dated windows for marriage, work and money
- Sade Sati and every other slow transit, placed in your houses

Not ready to spend Rs 258 on a site you found today?
You have no reason to trust a stranger's website with a birth chart yet, and we would rather you did not. Start with the free reading instead: it describes what you are like from your birth minute alone, and if it does not sound like you, you should not pay us anything about your future.
Whichever you start with, the Rs 79 is credited, so the full reading is Rs 179 afterwards and the total is the same either way. A price we quote you never goes up.
Already bought the back-cast? It comes off the price, so yours is Rs 179 + GST and it is one tap in your reports.

How this is calculated
Positions come from Skyfield and the JPL DE440s ephemeris, with our own Lahiri ayanamsa referred to the mean equinox of date. Every planet agrees with Swiss Ephemeris to under one arcsecond, and the lunar node to under a tenth of one. We publish that because nobody else in this market publishes theirs.
- Skyfield. The astronomy library that computes every position on this site.
- JPL planetary ephemerides. NASA JPL's ephemeris export page. The DE440s kernel we load is the source of every raw planetary position.
- Capitaine, Wallace and Chapront (2003), IAU 2006 precession. The precession expressions our Lahiri ayanamsa is carried forward with from its J2000 anchor.
- Positional Astronomy Centre, Kolkata. The India Meteorological Department office that publishes the Rashtriya Panchang, which defines the Lahiri ayanamsa.
- Swiss Ephemeris. The reference implementation we test against: under one arcsecond on every planet. It is used only in our test suite, never on this site.
