Mars in the Vimshottari dasha
Mars's mahadasha runs 7 of the 120 years in the cycle. It rules Mrigashira, Chitra, Dhanishta, so a Moon in any of them at birth starts life in a Mars period.
Mars aspects the 4th, 7th, 8th house from wherever it sits.
Mars is doing something specific in your chart. This page cannot say what.
What this page describes is true of Mars in general. In one chart it occupies one house, rules one or two others, carries a dignity and a set of aspects, and runs its dasha on dates fixed by your birth. That is the part you can plan around.
- Where Mars sits in your chart, what it rules, and its condition
- When its period and sub-periods run, dated to the day
- The years its transits press on your houses, named as pressure and not as prediction
- The remedies your chart says you can ignore

Not ready to spend Rs 258 on a site you found today?
You have no reason to trust a stranger's website with a birth chart yet, and we would rather you did not. Start with the free reading instead: it describes what you are like from your birth minute alone, and if it does not sound like you, you should not pay us anything about your future.
Whichever you start with, the Rs 79 is credited, so the full reading is Rs 179 afterwards and the total is the same either way. A price we quote you never goes up.
Already bought the back-cast? It comes off the price, so yours is Rs 179 + GST and it is one tap in your reports.

How this is calculated
Positions come from Skyfield and the JPL DE440s ephemeris, with our own Lahiri ayanamsa referred to the mean equinox of date. Every planet agrees with Swiss Ephemeris to under one arcsecond, and the lunar node to under a tenth of one. We publish that because nobody else in this market publishes theirs.
- Skyfield. The astronomy library that computes every position on this site.
- JPL planetary ephemerides. NASA JPL's ephemeris export page. The DE440s kernel we load is the source of every raw planetary position.
- Capitaine, Wallace and Chapront (2003), IAU 2006 precession. The precession expressions our Lahiri ayanamsa is carried forward with from its J2000 anchor.
- Positional Astronomy Centre, Kolkata. The India Meteorological Department office that publishes the Rashtriya Panchang, which defines the Lahiri ayanamsa.
- Swiss Ephemeris. The reference implementation we test against: under one arcsecond on every planet. It is used only in our test suite, never on this site.
