Kumbha Sade Sati: the dates for a Aquarius Moon
Sade Sati for a Kumbha Moon runs while Saturn crosses Makara, Kumbha and Meena. Every date below is computed from Saturn's actual position and refined to the day it changes sign, in Indian time.

A phase can appear twice. That is Saturn turning retrograde and crossing back over a sign boundary before moving on, which really does happen on most passes.
Dhaiya for a Kumbha Moon
Saturn in Vrishabha or Kanya, the 4th and 8th from a Kumbha Moon, is a separate pressure of its own, counted apart from Sade Sati.

What the three phases differ in
- The first phase, Saturn in Makara: Saturn in the sign before the Moon. It usually shows up as expense, broken sleep and a sense of carrying something alone.
- The peak phase, Saturn in Kumbha: Saturn over the Moon sign itself. The phase that touches mood and health most directly, and the one people remember.
- The final phase, Saturn in Meena: Saturn in the sign after the Moon. It tends to sit in money, family and what is said at home, and it eases as it goes.
Why your Sade Sati is not every Kumbha Moon's Sade Sati
Everything above is identical for every person born with the Moon in Kumbha. What makes one person's years different from another's is which house Saturn is crossing in their own chart, counted from the ascendant, how many ashtakavarga bindus that house carries, and which dasha is running underneath. None of those can be read from a Moon sign, and all of them need a birth minute.
You have the dates for Kumbha. What nobody tells you is where it lands.
Two people in the same phase of Sade Sati on the same day do not have the same year, and the difference is not luck. It is which house Saturn is crossing in your chart, how many bindus that house carries, and what your running dasha is doing underneath it. The table above is the same for everyone born under your Moon sign. The reading is not.
- Which area of your life this phase is actually sitting in: work, money, health, or home
- What your chart says Saturn delivers here, not only what it takes
- The dated sub-periods inside the phase, so you know which months are the heavy ones
- What to do in it, and which remedies your chart says you can ignore entirely

Not ready to spend Rs 258 on a site you found today?
Half of what is written about Sade Sati is written to frighten you into buying a stone, so you are right to be sceptical of anyone selling you something on this page. Take the free one instead. It describes years that have already happened, including the hard ones, and you will know within a minute whether we are guessing.
Whichever you start with, the Rs 79 is credited, so the full reading is Rs 179 afterwards and the total is the same either way. A price we quote you never goes up.
Already bought the back-cast? It comes off the price, so yours is Rs 179 + GST and it is one tap in your reports.
Not sure of your Moon sign?
The Moon changes sign about every two and a quarter days, so a birth date alone is not always enough. The calculator works it out from your date, time and place.

Questions
When does Sade Sati end for Kumbha?
The current pass for a Kumbha Moon ends on 23 February 2028.
Is Sade Sati the same for everyone with a Kumbha Moon?
The dates are. The experience is not, because it depends on the house Saturn crosses in your own chart and on your running dasha.
Why do your dates differ from another site by a few days?
A sign change is a moment, not a day, and most tools read it from a table. Ours is computed from the JPL ephemeris and refined to the crossing, and printed in Indian time.
How this is calculated
Positions come from Skyfield and the JPL DE440s ephemeris, with our own Lahiri ayanamsa referred to the mean equinox of date. Every planet agrees with Swiss Ephemeris to under one arcsecond, and the lunar node to under a tenth of one. We publish that because nobody else in this market publishes theirs.
- Skyfield. The astronomy library that computes every position on this site.
- JPL planetary ephemerides. NASA JPL's ephemeris export page. The DE440s kernel we load is the source of every raw planetary position.
- Capitaine, Wallace and Chapront (2003), IAU 2006 precession. The precession expressions our Lahiri ayanamsa is carried forward with from its J2000 anchor.
- Positional Astronomy Centre, Kolkata. The India Meteorological Department office that publishes the Rashtriya Panchang, which defines the Lahiri ayanamsa.
- Swiss Ephemeris. The reference implementation we test against: under one arcsecond on every planet. It is used only in our test suite, never on this site.
