Trikaal compared with AI astrologers
There is now a crowd of AI astrology products: kundli chatbots, AI astrologer apps, GPT wrappers that take your birth details and talk back. We are also an AI product and we say so on the front page. The difference is not whether a model is involved. It is what the model is allowed to do.
Where AI astrologers is better than us
- Conversation. You can ask a chatbot a follow-up question and get an answer in seconds. We hand you a finished document and there is nobody to ask.
- Instant and usually free. No five to ten minute wait, no Rs 258.
- Range. Ask them about anything, in any language, in any format. A fixed ten-section report cannot do that.
- If what you want is to think out loud about your chart with something patient, a chatbot is genuinely a better experience than a PDF.
What we do differently
- The maths is deterministic Python and the writing is a language model, and they never mix. Our engine computes about three thousand discrete facts from your birth data. That JSON is the only thing the model ever sees. It is never asked to calculate, so it cannot get the astrology wrong, only the wording.
- A model asked to compute a chart will produce a fluent, confident, plausible chart. Ascendants, dasha balances and ingress dates are arithmetic on an ephemeris, and language models do arithmetic by resemblance. The output reads correct whether or not it is.
- Our dates are computed, not generated. When a report says a sub-period ends on a given day, that day came out of the dasha module, not out of the model.
- We tell you when your birth time is not good enough. A chatbot will answer confidently about an ascendant that is ninety seconds from the next sign.
| AI astrologers | Trikaal | |
|---|---|---|
| A language model is involved | Yes | Yes, and we say so |
| The model computes the chart | Usually | Never |
| Planetary positions from a real ephemeris | Varies, often unstated | Skyfield and JPL DE440s |
| Accuracy of positions published | Rarely | Under one arcsecond, tested |
| Warns you when the birth time is too imprecise | No | Yes |
| Ask follow-up questions | Yes | No |
| Free | Usually | Free tier, then Rs 79 |
| Shows the placement behind each claim | No | In a built, not written, box |
When AI astrologers remains the better choice
Use a chatbot if you want to explore, ask questions, or read in a language we do not support. It is a better tool for curiosity. Come here when you want a document whose numbers you can hand to an astrologer and have checked.
The verdict
Ask any AI astrology tool one question before you trust it: does the model calculate the chart, or is it given one? If nobody will tell you, assume it calculates, and treat every date in the answer as decorative. That test is the reason this page exists, and we are happy for you to apply it to us.
What you are actually choosing between
Everything above is an argument, and you have read enough arguments today. The reading is the thing being compared: your own chart, every date computed rather than written, and a page telling you which remedies you can ignore.
- Marriage and its timing, dated, with the sub-periods that carry it
- Work and money read from your chart, each with windows you can plan around
- Every dosha you have and every one you do not, with the rule for each
- The working printed beside each section, so any astrologer you trust can check it
10 written sections, 10 years forward, about 29 minutes to read. Written in five to ten minutes, in English or Hinglish, and emailed to you.
Not ready to take our word over theirs?
You should not take our word over theirs. We have written a page arguing our own case, which is exactly what any competitor would do, and you have no way to tell which of us is right from reading either. So test it instead of believing it. The free reading describes what you are like, from your birth minute alone. If it does not sound like you, do not buy anything from us.
Whichever you start with, the Rs 79 is credited, so the full reading is Rs 179 afterwards and the total is the same either way. A price we quote you never goes up.
Already bought the back-cast? It comes off the price, so yours is Rs 179 + GST and it is one tap in your reports.
Questions
Can ChatGPT or Claude cast an accurate birth chart?
They can produce one that looks right. Positions depend on an ephemeris and on an ayanamsa, and a model reproducing those from memory is estimating, not computing. Ascendant and dasha dates are where it shows first, because both are sensitive to minutes. Give a model a computed chart and it interprets well. Ask it to derive one and you cannot tell the good output from the bad.
So is Trikaal AI or not?
The writing is. Every sentence in the report is written by a large language model. The astrology is not: it is ordinary deterministic Python with tests. We put that on the front page rather than in the terms, because in this category the honest version converts better than the flattering one.
Why does that distinction matter to me as a reader?
Because it decides which kind of error you are exposed to. Our failure mode is a clumsy sentence about a correct placement. Theirs is a fluent sentence about a placement that is not in your chart, and you have no way to tell from reading it.
Facts a competitor publishes about itself are attributed to them above rather than asserted as our own measurement. If anything here has gone out of date, write to us and we will correct it.
